Spoiler alert: The monsters aren’t hiding in the shadows – they’re in the mirror.
From tribalism to tyranny – Monumental gets into the guts of power, and the psychology of self-destruction. Because as the human species faces ever greater challenges and catastrophes, the answer to where our destiny lies may well be buried in our primitive past.

And today, one of civilisationís greatest challenges may be unfolding right before our eyes, with the advent of AI technology.
This new power, birthed from human ingenuity, holds the potential to transform society in ways both marvelous and terrifying. Will it help unlock a more just society? Or, like the trolls of old, will it become a force of oppression?
The irony's rich, isn't it? After all the centuries striving to rise above the animal within, we now stand at the threshold of a new era where our species may no longer hold alpha status.
Synopsis
Monumental is an allegorical tale set on Monkey Mountain, where a tribe of 'aplings' strive to rise above the chaos of the jungle. At its core, the story follows two brothers, Demos and Kratos, who once shared a vision of unity and wisdom but find themselves torn apart by the corrupting influence of power.
The mountain, divided into three great chambers – the Political, Economic, and Public Chambers – symbolize the complex structures of human civilisation. As the brothers try to understand how a just society ought to be constructed, the Controlls – sinister forces embodying the darkest aspects of the human psyche, attempt to not only tear the lads apart, but to destroy everything else in the process.
Monumental explores themes of power, corruption, conflict, and redemption, revealing that true strength lies not in domination – but in the wisdom to build for the future while resisting the temptation of absolute control.
